FOX LAKE INLAND LAKE PROTECTION AND REHABILITATION DISTRICT

      Notice of Annual Meeting, Budget Hearing, and Regular Meeting

 

Please take notice that the Annual Meeting of the Fox Lake Inland Lake Protection and Rehabilitation District will be held on Saturday, August 6, 2016 at the Fox Lake Town Hall, W10543 CTY. F, Fox Lake, Wisconsin.  The Annual Meeting will begin at 1:00pm and will be preceded by the Budget Hearing at 12:30pm. The Regular Meeting of the Board of Commissioners will immediately follow the Annual Meeting.

 

ANNUAL MEETING AGENDA

 

                1.  Call to order

2.  Approval of minutes                                                                    

                3.  Treasurer’s report/audit report                                         

                4.  Election of one commissioner:                             

                                1. Cheryl Witkowski - Incumbent                                                         

                                2. Joan Schmidt                                                            

       (Close balloting-select two attendees to count ballots)                                        

5.  Explanation of proposed budget and motion to approve budget

6.  Establish official newspaper                                       

              7.  Approval of election-destroy ballots

8.  Any other business that may legally                         

                come before the Inland Lake District Board

              9.  Neal O’Reilly – Lake update            

            10.  Adjourn

 

A copy of the detailed proposed budget is available for inspection at the District Office Monday through Friday, 8:00am to 12:00noon; at Lift Station #7 located on “U” road of Howard Drive; at Lift Station #4 on Chief Kuno Trail at its intersection with the Private Road at Wedges Bay area; at the Fox Lake Town Park and at the Town Hall.

 

To vote at an annual meeting of the lake district, a voter must be a U.S. citizen over 18 years of age who is either: 1] An elector (a qualified voter who resides in the district: 2]  An owner of property within the district: a]  A person whose name appears as an owner of real property on the tax roll. b] A person who owns title to real property even though the person’s name does not appear on the tax roll (i.e. a spouse).  c] A person who is the official representative, officer or employee authorized to vote on behalf of a trust, foundation, corporation, association or other organization owning real property in the district.

 

Wis. State Statute 33.30(3) and 33.3(2)(b), no absentee ballots are permitted. Voting at the Annual Meeting is limited to qualified electors in attendance.

 

We will have a sign-up sheet for anyone wishing to discuss any given subject pertinent to the Inland Lake District and will be called upon by the chairman in the order in which they have signed up. You may contact the office prior to the meeting if you want your name placed on the list and the subject that you would like to discuss. The person wishing to speak must come to the front of the room and speak in the microphone so that everyone can hear.
