Billing Procedures

The Sewer User Charges are collected quarterly – in January, April, July, and October. The January 1st billing is for the months of October, November, and December. The April 1st billing is for the months of January, February, and March, and so forth. The Sewer User Charges pay for all expenses of the Districts Wastewater Collection System, the District billing from the Wastewater Control Commission, and a portion of the District’s administrative costs.

Payment is due on the 14th of the month. If payment is not received, a Penalty Billing with an additional 1.5% is assessed to the customer and a Billing Statement sent. Should payment not be received for a complete year, the total assessed penalty is 18%.

DUE DATE FOR OCTOBER 1ST SEWER BILL IS OCTOBER 14TH

In order to comply with the District Ordinance and Chapter 33 of Wisconsin State Statutes, this schedule will be followed for the October sewer billing.The October billing statement will be sent out prior to October 1st and is due on October 14th. Payment must be received (by mail or in person) at the District office by 2:00pm on Sunday, October 14th. At 7:00am on October 15th, a penalty will be assessed on all unpaid accounts and will appear on November 1st penalty bill.

If you receive a Certified Letter with your bill, your name will be included on the Delinquent Utilities list.  If your payment is received prior to 12:00 noon on November 1st it will be credited to your account and your name will be removed from the Delinquent Utilities list. If your payment is received after 12:00 noon on November 1st, it will be returned to you, and that amount plus a 10% penalty will be placed as a delinquent utilities item on your County property tax bill. You can make any check for District activities or billings payable to Fox Lake Inland Lake Protection & Rehabilitation District or FLILPARD.

Lake Management costs consist of a portion of the Districts administrative budget, grant shares, Lake Patrol share, cost of planned lake projects, etc. and appears on your real estate tax bill as LAKE DISTRICT tax levy.

Your sewer bill does not pay for lake management projects and your tax levy does not pay for sewer projects.
